Career Awareness Program (CAP) Day Information

On Tuesday, April 8, Mars Area High School will host CAP Day for all students as part of our Career Awareness Program.

It is important that all students are in attendance on this day as we will use this time to share important information with all students and to ensure that all students are meeting graduation requirements related to Career Readiness and Industry-Based Learning. As shared in the MAHS Newsletter last week, please ensure that your children are present on this day, if you have a Mars Cyber student, they should plan to attend in person for the duration of the CAP day activities. Details for each grade level will be sent later today for parents and students to know what each student's schedule will look like next Tuesday based on the grade they are in.

There will be no JROTC or Vo-Tech on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

9:15 a.m.-9:35 a.m.                         Mock accident

9:45 a.m.-10:45 a.m.                       Assembly in auditorium

This activity intends to dramatically demonstrate to the students the effects of impaired and/or distracted driving. Seeing friends and classmates involved in a traumatic accident will bring home the very real dangers of impaired and/or distracted driving. The mock accident has been designed to resemble a real accident in every aspect. Police, fire, ambulance, and Aeromedical Personnel will respond and act as if it were a real accident.

Participating Agencies:

  • Adams Area Fire District
  • Callery Fire Dept.
  • Middlesex Volunteer Fire Depart.
  • Quality EMS
  • Adams Township Police
  • Butler County 9-1-1
  • AHN-LifeFlight
  • AHN Prehospital Care
  • Butler County Coroner
  • Classic Automotive

Parking for the mock car accident will be as follows:

All students with permits #233 through #349 will park in the Middle School parking lot that is closest to Route 228.  Shuttle buses from the Middle School to the High School from 7:10 AM – 7:30 AM will be provided. A bus will also be provided from 2:37 PM – 3:00 PM from the High School to the Middle School. Please plan accordingly to ensure student promptness. All students must use the shuttle buses provided.
