Mars Area High School’s Rocket Fuel Cafe opened for business earlier this week with a new look.
Over the summer, students and school staff members worked together to give the space a facelift, says Maegan Fabanich, special education teacher. Students painted, decorated and added subdued lighting and calming music to accentuate the cafe’s atmosphere.
The student-run Rocket Fuel Cafe, located in the school’s library hallway, is open during Periods 1-4 (7:49 to 10:45 a.m.). Offerings include hot, iced and specialty coffees; hot and iced tea; and breakfast items such as muffins, pastries and more.
