Graduate to Open Art Gallery Exhibit

Mars Area High School graduate Zach Brown (Class of 2007) will present his art exhibit, “Death of a Lunar Cult,” Friday, Oct. 6, through Sunday, Feb. 4, at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s 707 Gallery.

The exhibit will feature 12 new paintings, which reference the different epochs and shifts from lunar to solar worship throughout history. In creating the works, Brown was inspired by various ancient Greek mystery schools and early Gnostic writings.

Brown holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from Rhode Island School of Design  as well as a master of fine arts degree from New York Academy of Art, where he was awarded the prestigious Eric Fischl residency to continue to develop his studio practice. He actively exhibits his works throughout the U.S.

An Opening Reception will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, at 707 Gallery (707 Penn Ave. Pittsburgh). For more information, visit https://trustarts.org/exhibit/26387-2023/zach-brown-death-of-a-lunar-cult.
