Mars Area High School Boys & Girls Varsity Basketball Teams will hold a “Mars Madness” event at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, in the gymnasium.

The event will introduce the members of the boys and girls basketball teams, the cheerleaders and dance team. Activities will include music and entertainment; a dunk competition; and more.  

In addition, the boys and girls teams are holding a “Toy Drive” competition to see which team can collect the most donations to benefit local families in need through with Inspired Hearts & Hands. The teams are collecting new items such as art supplies, bluetooth speakers, LED lights, Legos, games, lotions/body sprays, Matchbox cars/tracks, Play-Doh, RC cars/trucks, sports balls, superhero toys, etc.

The winning team will be announced at the “Mars Madness” event. The event is free and open to the public.
