Several Mars Area High School students were selected for awards in various categories of The Challenge Program, which focuses on the how students’ choices affect their career-readiness and success, both in and beyond the classroom.
Students, who are being recognized for their efforts, include seniors Declan Abbey (Academic Excellence), Lindsey Morello (Academic Improvement), Mira Ramanathan (STEM), Ryan Schnitgen (Community Service) and Meghan Smith (Perfect Attendance); and, juniors Isabel Dickson (Attendance), Zak Gribble (Academic Improvement), Ashley Haslett (STEM), Aiden Kuremsky (Academic Excellence) and Gianna Mannella (Community Service). Each student received a certificate denoting their individual honor as well as a $200 check.
The goal of The Challenge Program is to build sustainable business/education partnerships, while motivating students to develop good habits that will help them to succeed in school and in their future careers.
