Mars Musical Theater Boosters is sponsoring a fundraiser, Monday, Feb. 5, through Saturday, March 2, to benefit the family of Mars Area High School senior Miranda Gehm.

Gehm, who played the lead role of Sandy in the high school’s 2023 production of Grease, was recently diagnosed with aplastic anemia and is recovering from a stem cell transplant.

During all lunches, musical students will be selling “Miranda’s Guild Bracelets.” Cost is $3 and all proceeds will go to the Gehm Family. Monetary donations will also be accepted online at https://e.givesmart.com/events/AJi/.

In addition, via the website, a Food Box or Grocery Gift Card may be purchased (in Miranda’s honor) to benefit local families in need through Inspired Hearts & Hands. Donations of non-perishable items will also be accepted at each Mars Area School District building in the week leading up to this year’s production of Mary Poppins: The Broadway Musical, which takes the stage on Friday & Saturday, March 1-2.
