Mars Area High School senior Vivian Frank was selected for an American Visions Award in the 2024 Pittsburgh Arts Region Scholastic Art Awards Ceremony, held March 23 at Carnegie Mellon University’s Hall of Fine Arts.
Frank received the award for her work, “Where it Gets Quiet,” which also earned a Gold Key in the annual event’s Painting category. American Visions Award recipients are selected based upon originality, skill, and the emergence of a personal vision.
All Regional American Visions Award winners will advance to the National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, where there works will be reviewed by national judges One student from each region will be selected for a National American Visions Medal.
