The Special Scholarship was provided through the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program, which works with corporate sponsors to awarded outstanding students who were not named Finalists in the National Merit Scholarship competition. The scholarships are awarded based on their academic accomplishments from a pool of candidates who scored high on the 2022 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
