Mars Area High School’s French classes have announced the winners of the school’s 2024 “Manie Musicale de Mars” music bracket competition, held in March.
Sophomore Sabine Bowser was the overall winner with 33 points. Senior Gabrianna Salvini was named the French 4 winner with 16 points; junior Camille Bird, French 3 winner (10 points); sophomore Sarah Arnold, French 2 winner (6 points); and, freshman Julia Lego, French 1 winner (27 points).
The competition, a play on “March Madness,” encouraged students to listen to contemporary French music; participate in supplemental activities; and connect with the larger French-speaking community. Students participated in the national activity by submitting brackets and voting for their favorite songs.
