The western-most entrance to the Mars Area High School campus along Route 228 (near the tennis courts) is currently CLOSED, as PennDOT crews are working in that area as part of the Route 228/Three Degree Road Intersection project. The closure is expected to be in place for several weeks.
All traffic, entering/exiting the high school campus may do so via the east entrance/exit along Route 228, Three Degree Road or the new Milky Way access road behind the building. Those exiting via Milky Way should be aware that both left and right turns onto Three Degree Road are permitted at the intersection.
Mars Area High School students and/or staff members, who park in the High School’s east parking lot (Spaces 1-31) adjacent to the science wing and in the rear parking lot (Spaces 351-431), were previously instructed that they must exit the campus via Milky Way to Three Degree Road. Traffic may still access the front of the building, if needed.
Note: All drivers are asked to use caution, as school bus traffic will now be entering the campus via Milky Way. Please be reminded that, during afternoon dismissal, no student vehicles are permitted to leave the school campus until all school buses have exited.
Mars Area School District apologizes for any inconvenience.
