Mars Area High School graduate Trevin Hammerbeck (Class of 2024) was awarded the University of North Carolina School of the Arts Kenan Excellence Scholarship.
The prestigious merit-based award is presented to those students determined to have the best potential as artist-scholars, as well as his/her ability, capacity to lead and motivate, extracurricular achievement, grade point average, and standardized test scores. The scholarship provides full tuition, fees, and room and board for up to five incoming students each year and is renewable for all four years of undergraduate education.
