Mars Area High School graduates Callahan Johnson and Anna McGrath were named valedictorian and salutatorian of the Class of 2026, respectively.

Callahan Johnson is a recipient of the U.S. Marine Corps — Scholastic Excellence.

At Mars Area High School, Johnson was a member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), French National Honor Society, and National Honor Society. He was also a member of the school’s Boys Varsity Tennis Team, advancing to the 2026 Section 2-3A Boys Varsity Tennis Singles Tournament.

Johnson plans to pursue a career in finance and business management and administration. He will attend Cornell University as an economics major.

Anna McGrath was a member of Mars Area High School’s Chamber Orchestra, Key Club, National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and Student Council.

She was also a member of the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team, which advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 PIAA Class 2A Girls Varsity Lacrosse Championship. She was named a 2026 Girls Lacrosse Western Pennsylvania Region All-Academic and All-American and was an All-WPIAL and All-Section First Team selection.

McGrath plans to pursue a career in finance and business management and administration. She will attend the University of Notre Dame as a business major.
