As Mars Area School District prepares to welcome students, families and community members to Mars Athletic Complex this Friday night to cheer on the Fightin’ Planets football team, we would like to remind you about parking procedures at Mars Athletic Complex.

Please note that construction work is ongoing on either side of Three Degree Road directly adjacent to Mars Area Middle School. No parking is permitted in this construction zone; therefore, the District will, once again, offer a shuttle bus service as well as additional parking in and around Mars Athletic Complex

OFF-SITE PARKING/SHUTTLE BUSES

Off-site parking will be available at Mars Area Elementary School and Mars Area Primary Center, where shuttle buses will travel between 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. to and from Mars Athletic Complex: 

Pick-Up Locations

• • • Mars Area Elementary School East Entrance (near where Doc’s Way intersects with the school’s driveway)
    • Mars Area Primary Center Main Entrance

Drop-Off Location

• • • North Gate Access (intersection of Three Degree Road & Davidson Road)

MARS ATHLETIC COMPLEX PARKING

For those planning to park at the stadium, we ask that you PARK ONLY IN DESIGNATED PARKING SPACES and refrain from parking on berms, in grass, on sidewalks, or in any other unmarked locations. Vehicles that are parked illegally may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Parking for all home varsity football games is available at the following locations:

1. 1. Mars Area Middle School Parking Lot — Mars Area Middle School’s parking lot is located on the east side of the building. The lot may be accessed via Davidson Road and the Mars Area Middle School Driveway.
      • Handicapped Parking — Handicapped parking is located immediately adjacent to Mars Athletic Complex in the Mars Area Middle School parking lot.
   2. Varsity Baseball Field Parking Lot — The Varsity Baseball Field (gravel) Parking Lot is located at the intersection of Davidson Road and the Mars Area Middle School Driveway.
   3. Davidson Road Parking Lot — The Davidson Road (gravel) Parking Lot is located at the corner of Davidson Road and Three Degree Road. Access to the lot is available via Davidson Road.
   4. Meredith Drive Parking Area — The Meredith Drive Parking Area is located along Meredith Drive, approximately 1,000 feet from the roadway’s intersection with Davidson Road and the Mars Area Middle School Driveway. The parking area is a five-minute walk from the stadium entrance.
   5. Doc's Way/LEFCON Field Parking Areas — The Doc's Way (gravel) and LEFCON Field (paved) parking areas are located along Doc’s Way near its intersection with Three Degree Road.
      

RESERVED PARKING (AUTHORIZED VEHICLES ONLY)

Please note that there is NO PUBLIC PARKING in the following areas, which are reserved for coaches, officials and other authorized personnel.

1. 1. West Gate Parking Area — This gravel parking area is located across from Doc's Way at the intersection of Three Degree Road and Davidson. Note: The West Gate is not a public entrance to the stadium.
   2. Southwest Gate Parking Area — This small, gravel parking area is located along Three Degree Road at the Southwest Gate to Mars Athletic Complex. Note: The Southwest Gate is not a public entrance to the stadium.
   3. Mars Area Middle School West Parking Lot — This paved parking lot is located on the western side of Mars Area Middle School.
      
      

CONSTRUCTION ZONE — NO PARKING

As a reminder, the construction zone along Three Degree Road near its intersection with Route 228 is off limits to parking. Driving or parking or in any marked construction zone is strictly prohibited at all times. In addition, pedestrians are prohibited from walking through any marked construction areas
