Mars Area High School graduate Lindsay Kivlan (Class of 2025) earned the title of National Open Tumbling Champion at the NCATA (National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association) Individual Event Finals, held Felix Events Center on the campus of Azusa Pacific University (Calif.).
Kivlan, a freshman member of the Duquesne University Acrobatics & Tumbling Team, received a score of 9.80 out of 10, not only becoming the college’s first-ever NCATA Individual Event Finals champion, but also providing Duquesne University with its first individual national title in any sport. The acrobatics and tumbling NCATA trophy is the last to be awarded, as the sport transitions to NCAA competition next season.
The team competed in the Five Element Acro, Quad Tumbling, Aerial Tumbling and Open Tumbling events at the NCATA Finals. For more information, visit https://x.com/DUQAcroTumb/status/2048522519855202630.
