Mars Area High School junior Nolan Erickson was selected to receive an Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Ray Aviation Scholarship.

The $12,000 award will go toward Erickson’s flight training as he pursues a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Private Pilot’s Certificate. He is one of only a few hundred Americans to be selected for the honor.
