Mars Area High School Girls Varsity Golf Team competed in the 2017 MAC (Midwestern Athletic Conference) Girls Varsity Golf Championship, held Sept. 14 at Blackhawk Golf Course (Beaver Falls, Pa.)

The Lady Planets took first place with a combined score of 241. Individually, senior Natalie Welsh earned a score of 71; freshman Victoria Witouski (81); and junior Rachel Scherer (89).

Additionally, the girls team received seventh place with a combined score of 385 in the 2017 WPIAL Class 3A Girls Varsity Golf Team Championship, held Oct. 12 at Cedarbrook Golf Course (Belle Vernon, Pa.)
