Mars Area senior Natalie Welsh competed in the 2017 PIAA Class 3A Girls Varsity Golf Individual Qualifier, held Oct. 16 at Tom’s Run Golf Course (Blairsville, Pa.).

Welsh tied for fourth place with a combined final score of 80. She will advance to the PIAA Class 3A Girls Varsity Golf Individual Championship, to be held Oct. 23-24 at Heritage Hills Golf Resort & Conference Center (York, Pa.)
