Two members of Mars Area High School Boys and Girls Varsity Cross Country Teams competed in the 2017 PIAA Class 3A Cross Country Championships, held Nov. 4 at Hershey Park (Hershey, Pa.).

Sophomore Zachary Leachman took 51st place with a time of 16:51 in the boys event. Freshman McKenna Bowes placed 144th (21:03) in the girls race.
