Several members of Mars Area High School Orchestra were selected by solo audition to perform in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District Orchestra Festival, to be held Feb. 8-10 at Beaver Area High School (Beaver, Pa.)

Students are seniors Michelle Manukas (flute) and Maura Porter (violin); juniors Dustin Bauer (bass), Tara Brazel (violin), Sarah Grimm (clarinet), Camryn Reynolds (trumpet) and Jacob Smith (trombone); and sophomores Christopher Manukas (cello) and Zachary Ottenweller (bass).

Dr. Jeffrey Tedford, Grove City College director of orchestral activities, will serve as guest conductor. The event will conclude with a public concert at noon on Saturday, Feb. 10, at Beaver Area High School. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
