High School Listed as 11th in Region in 2017 SAT Scores

Mars Area High School ranks 11th in the Pittsburgh region in average 2017 SAT scores, according to the latest rankings published by the Pittsburgh Business Times.

As released by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Mars Area High School’s average composite SAT score is 1,172 with individual scores of 587 in reading and 584 in mathematics. The school is also ranked 37th in the state, according to the publication.

The Business Times ranked all the schools in a seven-county region (Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland) and all the schools statewide. Schools with fewer than 10 students taking the test were not included in the rankings.
