Four members of Mars Area High School Band were selected by solo audition to perform in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) Region Band Festival, to be held Feb. 21-23 at Plum Senior High School (Plum, Pa.).

Students are senior Michelle Manukas (flute); and juniors Sarah Grimm (clarinet); Jenna Halenda (flute) and Jacob Smith (trombone). Dennis Glocke, Pennsylvania State University College of Music director of concert bands, will serve as guest conductor.

The event will conclude with a public concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, at Plum Senior High School. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
