The team, made up of seniors Sam Gentile, Deepayan Patra, JonPaul Plesniak and Dylan Seebacher; and junior Howard Huang, earned first place overall as well as first place in the “Isometric Breakdown” category and second place in both the “Basket Design Challenge” and “Underhand Catapult Design Challenge.”

The competition asked participants to design and build an underhand “cornhole” catapult that would be tested at 20, 30 and 40 feet. All teams were required to submit a design proposal, including sketches and dimensions, and to document the process through photographs.
