Several members of Mars Area High School Orchestra were selected by solo audition to perform in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) Region Orchestra Festival, to be held March 22-24 at Sharon High School (Sharon, Pa.)

Students are seniors Michelle Manukas (flute) and Maura Porter (violin); juniors Dustin Bauer (bass), Sarah Grimm (clarinet) and Jacob Smith (trombone); and sophomore Zachary Ottenweller (bass).

Dr. Rebecca MacLeod, University of North Carolina at Greensboro associate professor of music education, will serve as guest conductor. The event will conclude with a public concert at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, at Sharon High School. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door.
