Two members of Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Swimming & Diving Team competed at the 2017-2018 PIAA Class 2A Swimming & Diving Championships, held March 16-17 at the Bucknell University’s Kinney Natatorium.

Junior Andrew Pierre took fourth place in the 500-Yard Freestyle with a time of 4:42.23; and, seventh place (1:44.07) in the 200-Yard Freestyle. Senior Andrew Ivory took eighth place (2:00.68) in the 200-Yard Individual Medley (IM) and 15th place (1:01.68) in the 100-Yard Breaststroke.

Both athletes advanced to the PIAA events after placing in the Top 3 in their respective events at the 2017-2018 WPIAL Swimming & Diving Championships, held March 1-2.
