Four Mars Area High School German students placed in the 2018 Three Rivers German Day event, held March 15 at Washington & Jefferson College (Washington, Pa.).

In the Technology category, senior Jonathan Knotts earned first place and junior Shea Moffa took second place. In the Drawing category, freshmen Alexandra Knotts and Peyton Felicetti placed first and second, respectively.

Mars Area German students competed in the Art, Culture Trivia, Drama, Music, Poetry Recitation and Technology events. The competition brought together students from middle schools and high schools in Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
