Mars Area sophomore Mitchell McMarlin was named a Grand Prize Winner at the Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) Aviation Science Center “AIM for the Future Friday” event, held Feb. 23.
McMarlin was randomly selected to win a free Discovery Flight offered by Moore Aviation. He was one of several Mars Area High School students to attend the interactive program on CCBC’s Aviation Academy, which is open to high school juniors and seniors interested in a career in air traffic control, aerospace management, or as a professional pilot or as a Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) operator.
