Four members of Mars Area High School’s FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Chapter placed at the 2017-2018 Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference, held April 9-11 in Hershey, Pa.
The team of senior Ashley Parham and juniors Alexis Bonifate and Anastasia Bonifate earned second place in the Marketing competition and qualified for the 2017-2018 FBLA National Leadership Conference, to be held June 26-July 2 in Baltimore, Md.
Junior Matthew Olsen took sixth place in Accounting 2 competition. Other students who competed at the state conference are freshman Andrew Riska (Intro to Financial Math) and the team of seniors Luke Diel and Chase Reck (Global Business).
FBLA is a non-profit educational association of students preparing for careers in business or simply interested in learning more about the American Business Enterprise. The organization aids students in enhancing leadership abilities as well as in preparing for entry into and advancement within a business or business-related occupation.
