As a semifinalist for the 2018 Mr. PA Basketball Award, Mars Area senior Robby Carmody is seeking votes to advance in the contest.

Sports fans may vote for Carmody online at https://survey.zohopublic.com/zs/0nB588 through midnight on Friday, May 4. The five semifinalists who receive the most votes will be named Finalists and will be invited to participate in an awards luncheon at the Pennsylvania State Capitol on Saturday, May 26.

Carmody, a four-year member of Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Basketball Team, helped to lead the Fightin’ Planets to earn the 2017-2018 Section 2-5A title as well as the WPIAL Class 5A Boys Varsity Basketball Championship Title, a first for the school. The team also took second place in the 2017-2018 PIAA Class 5A Boys Varsity Basketball Championship.
