Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Volleyball Team ended the 2018 regular season with an overall record of 5-12 and 3-7 in Section 2-2A play.

The Fightin’ Planets advanced to the first round of the 2018 WPIAL Class 2A Boys Varsity Volleyball Championship on May 15, but were defeated 3-0 by the Montour Spartans.

Outstanding players on this year’s team included seniors Luke Nanna and JonPaul Plesniak; juniors Nolan Carr, Douglas Carter, Mitchell Fitzsimmons, Howard Huang, Justin Lee and Daniel Malcanas; sophomores Caden Jacobs, Jay Macri, Colby Mooney and Kyle Snyder; and freshmen Carson Owens and Jessie Sines.
