Several members of Mars Area High School’s FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Chapter placed at the 2018-2019 FBLA Regional Leadership Conference, held Dec. 11.
Senior Anastasia Bonifate earned first place in the Word Procession competition and senior Stephanie Streb took first place in the Economics event. Seniors Alexis Bonifate and Isabella Veneris received second and fifth place, respectively, in the Journalism competition.
Junior Blake Edwards took third place and junior Connor McChesney received fifth place in the Accounting 2 competition. Senior Matthew Olsen earned third place in the Business Calculations event and sophomore Andrew Riska received third place in the Insurance & Risk Management competition.
The team of seniors Dustin Bauer and Andrew Seles received fourth place in the Global Business event. The team of juniors Rachel Goetz and Karlie Hollern took fifth place in the Entrepreneurship competition.
FBLA is a non-profit educational association of students preparing for careers in business or simply interested in learning more about the American Business Enterprise. The organization aids students in enhancing leadership abilities as well as in preparing for entry into and advancement within a business or business-related occupation.
