Carmody, a tackle on Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Football Team, was among six offensive linemen to be selected for the honor. He was also named to the 2018 Class 5A Northern All-Conference First Team Offense.
During the 2018 season, the Fightin’ Planets advanced to the first round of the 2018 WPIAL Class 5A Boys Football Championship. The team ended the regular season with an overall record of 9-1 and 6-1 in Section 3-5A of the Northern Conference.
