Several members of Mars Area High School Band were selected by solo audition to perform in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District Band Festival, to be held Jan. 24-26 at Beaver Area High School (Beaver, Pa.).

Students are seniors Tara Brazel (French horn), Sarah Grimm (clarinet), Jenna Halenda (flute), Camryn Reynolds (trumpet) and Jacob Smith (trombone); and junior Katherine Horrocks (clarinet). Andrew Erb, Grove City College associate professor of music, will serve as guest conductor.

The event will conclude with a public concert at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at Beaver Area High School. Tickets are $5 may be purchased at the door.
