SAT
The “SAT” or “Scholastic Assessment Test” is a type of standardized test frequently used by colleges and universities in the United States to aid in the selection of incoming students. The test is composed of two sections: Mathematics and Critical Reading. Each section is scored on a scale of 200-800, which add up to a maximum composite score of 1,600. The national average score per section is 500.

Students can register online at www.collegeboard.com. For cost information, please refer to the "FEES" section.
* All SAT test dates are administered at 8 a.m. at Mars Area High School. Students should report as early as 7:30am and no later than 7:40am.
* Students should bring at least two #2 pencils, a four function calculator, and a photo ID
* Test takers are typically done around noon.
