The “SAT” or “Scholastic Assessment Test” is a type of standardized test frequently used by colleges and universities in the United States to aid in the selection of incoming students. The test is composed of three sections: Mathematics, Critical Reading, and Writing. Each section is scored on a scale of 200-800, which add up to a maximum composite score of 2,400. The national average score per section is 500.
